In response to the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Non-Road Transportation Electrification Project, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is offering organizations in the material handling industry a $2,000 cash incentive for every internal combustion forklift replaced with an electric-powered one.

This incentive stems from the TVA’s efforts to support the clean air agreement with the EPA and replace fossil-fuel technology with electric solutions. With the projected funding of the electric forklift incentive at $1.3 million, the project will run until September of 2017 or until the funds run out. That means it’s first come, first served!

Are you eligible?

Customers who are interested in taking advantage of this great incentive must meet the following requirements:

• You must be a TVA Local Power Company (LPC) customer, Directly-Served Industrial (DSI) customer, or an LPC-served end-use customer.
• The new forklift must be purchased or leased and be operational for a minimum of 5 years.
• You must discontinue use of the old internal combustion forklift.
• A Class 4 or 5 forklift must be replaced with a Class 1 or 2 lift.
